For this new site, we are looking for a Senior Tax Manager with experience in Corporate Tax Strategy and planning. In this role, the candidate's major focus would be on the tax affairs of the new business unit and supporting other business units. This role will sit in our Burlington facility with a regular on-site visits to Loyalist facility.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement the tax strategy ensuring global tax compliance.
Manage all Canadian Tax Compliance (CIT, GST, Property Taxes) and the related payment processes.
Map, enhance and document Tax policies, procedures, and transactions in alignment with Company's Global Tax Practices.
Be hands-on to reporting processes and maintenance of Global Tax Compliance and continuous improvement.
Manage all tax aspects including audits and litigation.
Perform routine tax compliance functions against pre-agreed SOWs, budgets, and milestones.
Provide internal advocacy and maintenance of all tax policies and process descriptions related to Company's business units.
Collaborate with Company's Global Tax team and contribute to the development, implementation and governance of the Company's Tax framework.
Maintain regular communication and stay updated regarding current and proposed cross-border transactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance or related field.
Master's degree in taxation is strongly preferred.
6+ years’ experience in IAS-12 tax accounting and corporation tax; prefer experience at a leading multinational manufacturing company or an international CPA/tax advisory firm
CPA designation preferred
Solid understanding of Canadian and International Corporate Tax Laws and Regulations.
Strong computer skills with Advanced Excel Skills and working experience on SAP.
A strategic thinker, and hands-on person who can identify dependencies, analyze alternative solutions, obtain stakeholder support, and deliver efficient implementation.
A team player who can realize synergies and create efficient results with transparency, accountability, structure, and partnership with others.
