about the job

As the Director of Engineering & Technology, you will be responsible for range of business critical task, including:

  • You will lead and oversee the department responsible for review of prescribed codes or standards, type testing and parts replacement for the Lifts and Escalator (L&E) sector.
  • You will work with training institutes to raise industry capability by developing and overseeing the training and competency framework to ensure the department and industry stakeholders acquire relevant technical skills and expertise in executing work for the industry and to meet the new requirements and standards.



skills and experience required

To succeed in this role you must possess the following skills and experience:

  • An engineering or related discipline degree or relevant professional qualification from other countries.
  • Prefer to be a Professional Engineer or Specialist Professional Engineer (Lifts and Escalators) or an Authorised Examiner in lifts and hoist category.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience including experience in related areas such as engineering inspections, enforcement and legislative drafting.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant prescribed codes or standards and legislatives requirements on lifts and escalators
  • Familiar with emerging technologies relating to lifts and escalator sector and keen interest in data analytics.
  • Demonstrated leadership, planning and organisational abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
