Based in the heart of Singapore with reputable partners in this region, they are now seeking for a high calibre Operations Manager to manage its Supply Chain APAC markets

about the job

The incumbent will be responsible for end to end S&OP needs, demand and supply planning for APAC and champion co-ordination of various internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage S&OP and supplier relationships. Moreover, the operations manager is responsible for providing support to internal departments and continually examining process improvement opportunities.

Other key accountabilities will include:

  • S&OP Planning by analyzing statistical data, stock holdings and rolling forecasts

  • Procurement, Sourcing & Vendor Management in conjunction with RFPs, renewals, supplier SLAs and KPIs across APAC

  • Strategic reporting of purchase requisitions and delivery schedules via SAP

  • New product development and rolling out project implementations

  • Change Management and Process Improvement

  • Order fulfilment, shipping documentation and 3PL management

about the manager/team

Within the corporate structure, there is a significant management focus on cross functional collaborations between sales, marketing, operations and finance, corporate matrix structures, manufacturing efficiency and delivery on time. Likewise, you will be reporting to the Supply Chain Director and in charge be capable of making independent decisions

skills and experience required

  • Certification in purchasing/supply chain materials management from a recognised institute or equivalent

  • At least 5 years industry experience likewise relevant business & logistics qualifications

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and capable of making independent decisions.

  • Proficiency with MS Office and demand planning tools

  • Advanced computer and systems skills

  • SAP would be of added advantage

  • Strong analytic and forecasting expertise.

  • Strong knowledge and/or experience of centralised procurement.

  • Strong time management skills.

  • Superb interpersonal and persuasive skills.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
