My client, a small privately owned developer, is looking to appoint a Site Manager/Project Lead for 2 new housing schemes in Essex and East London. The schemes consist of high end & HA tradtional build homes

This would be an ideal role for a SM looking to move away from a PLC or an experienced ASM, No2 who has looked after their own phases to take on a new challenge, working for a privately run developer.

Duties,

• No1, reporting in to the owners
• Providing clear direction to the on-site construction team regarding responsibilities and targets
• Will work towards looking after more schemes for the business
• Managing the day to day operation from foundation to completion, and the critical paths for labour, materials and plant, including material lead times
• Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme
• Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates
• Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure
• Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process
• Ensuring the development pass internal and external inspection processes
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are followed and adhered to
• Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others
• Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approve stage completions to payments to subcontractors
• Ensuring any remedial work is completed prior to occupation
• Ensuring customer service remains of the highest priority at all times with everyone on site

Qualifications,

• Experience of working on traditional build schemes
• Experience of being either a SM, No2 or Experienced ASM
• Working as part of a full production team
• CSCS,
• First Aid
• Scaffold awareness
