About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Computer Science to join our thriving secondary school in Southend-on-Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative educator to inspire and engage students in the exciting world of computer science. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, fostering a love for technology, and helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective computer science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement a dynamic and inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Contribute to the development of the computer science department, including participating in extra-curricular activities and events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for computer science and technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
