Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide support for students with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND), both individually and in group settings.
- Go beyond teaching to serve as an individual mentor for students, ensuring your availability for any challenges they may face and handling confidential matters with discretion.
- Develop, deliver, and assess inspiring learning programs to ensure a high-quality teaching experience for the students.
- Execute pre-planned activities to help students achieve their potential, with an expectation of dedicating time outside of regular working hours.
Requirements:
- Must possess an NVQ2/NVQ3 qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a teaching/learning assistant or classroom assistant.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate as a team in various situations.
- Passion for working with children with SEN.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for different groups of children.
