Responsibilities
• Consult with senior leaders to identify what policies and procedures need to be developed, updated, and implemented operationally.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Project Services Director on Governance templates and tools.
• Draft documentation for Steerco review and approval before implementation
• Work collaboratively with the cost system developer to ensure processes and procedures align with the cost control system being developed.
Qualifications
Our preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, English, or a related field is often a prerequisite or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years in a project management/project controls role.
• Preference given to those with multidiscipline, multiphase, heavy industrial project execution experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of project execution integrated systems and discipline interfaces considering project management, project controls (budget assignments, change management, cost reporting), procurement, finance, accounts payable and close-out
• A background in project management, project controls combined with multi phase project execution experience is considered an asset.
• Strong organizational skills, coupled with ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Superior communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, Outlook, Access, and SharePoint.
• Experience in creating and implementing policies, processes and procedures.
• Experience in working with cost management structures.
• Formal education in technical writing and communications is preferred.
