A specialised school near the Lancing area are looking for a 1:1 SEN teaching assistant to work closely to support a child who is on the Autistic spectrum. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in working with children who have special needs.

Your role will include:
Assist in the educational and social development of the child under guidance of the teacher
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes for the child and help monitor their progress
Provide support for child inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities

Skills you need for the role:
Understanding of learners on the autistic spectrum
Good maths and English skills
Personal care may be required for this role
Flexibility when day doesn't go to plan
A willingness to adapt and learn
