Senior Accounts Clerk - Somerset - Up to £18ph LTD

Accounts Assistant required to join a large civil engineering contractor working on a heavy civils project based in Somerset.

You will be the sole Senior Accounts Clerk working on the start of the project and will report to a senior accountant and work alongside the planty administrator and plant manager. Once the project progresses you will work alongisde a number of other accounts clerks.

This is a 6 month contract, likely to progress for up to 3 years

You will work in the finance team and be responsible for managing and controling the financial accounts, processing invoices and making payments.

You will be paid £10-14ph PAYE or £13-18ph Umbrella/LTD depending on experience.

Hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday (30 min lunch break)

Accounts system is Coins - however experience with this is not essential.

As a senior accounts clerk you will be responsible for:



* Process invoices for payment
* Checking and logging delivery notes against invoices
* Scan received invoices & contracts onto the system
* Keeping subcontractor records up to date
* Provide help or assistance when required by work colleagues
* Obtain Payment Authorisation
* Review and processing GRN's
* Check and process Subcontractor Payment Certificates for payment
* Liasing with the plant team regarding hire of plant, checking of availability and reviewing costs

Candidate Expectations -



* Previous experience within the Construction Industry
* Experience in accounts
* Previous experience of accounting systems such as SAGE, SAP, Coins etc
* Ability to work under pressure
* Proficient user of Microsoft packages
