Are you looking for an administration and receptionist opportunity based within a Blackpool Secondary School?

Do you have excellent communication skills?

Are you highly presentable?

Are you proficient with SIMS and Excel?

If yes, then this may be the role for you!

A secondary school in Blackpool are looking to appoint a new Receptionist to their administration team to start as soon as possible. The successful applicant will have SIMS experience, hold an enhanced DBS on the update service, and ideally have experience working in a Primary School environment (although this isn't essential). This is a role for 25-30 hours a week until the end of summer with the potential to extend longer or apply for a permanent position.

The role will involve assisting with the day to day administration on behalf of the administration team and senior colleagues of the school and manning an extremely busy school office.

The successful applicant will hold a high level of grammar and spelling skills, be resilient, professional and aware of the need for a high level of confidentiality and safeguarding at all times.

Responsibilities of the role will include
Be the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors
Assist with administrative tasks, including the typing of letters
Organise and distribute the post and messages
Keep records, administration and electronic filing organised appropriately
Use school software packages including SIMS

Requirements
Administration experience (essential)
An enhanced DBS on the update service
Clear and confident communication skills, both verbally and in written form
A highly presentable appearance
