Apprenticeship Skills Coach

Location - London

With more than 20 years' experience in professional services and training, our agile and ambitious client is leading the way in the industry with a unique and innovative approach. Due to this success, our client is growing their market share exponentially in the UK, on the continent and further afield.

To complement our clients existing services, they have been approved by Government to deliver a range of commercial Apprenticeships and are looking to grow their Apprenticeship team; adding a further skills coach / trainer to the new team.

This role is for experienced trainers / skills coaches who have delivered and supported learners through commercial or Government funded learning programmes. This new role will support or Apprenticeship Tutors/Assessors through delivering subject specialist components and soft-skills within the Apprenticeships Standards, offering our candidates the highest quality learning and support.

The Apprenticeship service will offer a broad range of new Apprenticeship Standards across Sales, Management and Business at levels 2, 3 and 4 with plans to offer Degree Apprenticeships in the future.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the key learning components or qualifications within our Apprenticeship delivery are delivered effectively and to the highest standards under the Common Inspection Framework rules.

The Role -Skills Coaches

As a Skills Coach, you will:
• Champion a dynamic and proactive culture
• Act as an ambassador with employers and learners
• Be mobile and flexible with delivery to employer and learner locations
• Support learners through specific elements of their Apprenticeship Standards offering quality feedback and structured learning
• Recognising when Additional Learning Needs or pastoral support is required and assist in signposting learners to specialist support
• Ensure that delivery processes and systems are adhered to
• Ensure submitted paperwork or entries onto the Learner Management are accurate and within agreed time limits
• Liaise with the Tutors/Assessors about learners' development
• Attend and contribute to Standardisation Meetings
• Work with Tutor/Assessors to plan all training initiatives for assigned learners
• Have a pro-active approach to Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values
• Promote employer support for Apprenticeship candidates
• Attend required training sessions to enhance knowledge and adhere to CPD requirements

The Candidate - Skills Coaches

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Teaching and assessing qualifications
• Ability to pass enhanced DBS checks on joining
• An understanding of Apprenticeships
• An understanding of commercial training
• Good interpersonal, communication and training skills
• Understanding or experience of LMS systems
• An understanding of delivery requirements for Apprenticeships
• A track record of learner teaching and support is ideal
