Are you an experienced Architectural Technologist, seeking your next contract in South Wales?

My client has an immediate opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to join their Design Team on an initial interim basis.

The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive range of pre and post contract architectural technologist services to assist in the delivery of effective and efficient building design and maintenance services.


* Undertake inception and feasibility studies for the design of new works and maintenance of existing premises.
* Develop project briefs with clients and prepare outline proposals.
* Develop outline proposals and carry out detailed design, schedules and specification of materials and workmanship.
* Make and negotiate where required applications for approvals under planning regulations, building regulations and other statutory approvals.
* Appraise and advise officers, clients and members on tender submissions.
* Advise clients on the appointment of contractors and on the responsibilities of the client, contractor and architect under the terms of the contract.
* Administer the terms of the building contract during pre and post contract operations and inspect generally the progress and quality of the work and adherence to the brief and tender documents.
* Prepare progress reports for consultants and clients.
* Carry out measured surveys.


The successful candidate will hold an appropriate professional, academic or technical qualification with evidence of continuing professional development.

Must have experience on the use of CAD.

Must have a thorough knowledge of building project contracts.

Should possess knowledge of grant bids and claims procedures.
