Company Overview

A successful Housing Association is looking for an experienced Asset Manager to start a temporary contract ongoing for a minimum term of 6 months.

Your Package



* Monday to Friday - 37 hours
* £17 p/h
* Mileage allowance

Your Responsibilities



* Develop a strategic approach to maximising the financial and social return from the companies assets
* Active management of assets including dynamic asset allocation to reduce fluctuation risks to achieve target returns
* Management of all planned commercial activities with strategic responsibility for ensuring that all planned investment budgets are forecast, profiled and monitored
* Manage the performance of the Assets Team, monitoring KPI's and developing effective interventions to optimise return on assets
* Apply a proactive analytical approach towards managing an asset over the different stages of its life cycle from conception of the need for the asset, through to its disposal, including the managing of any potential post disposal liabilities
* Oversee option appraisals for improvement works, whole life costing of materials, components and elements of properties and make recommendations to the Strategic Head of Property Services
* Develop, promote and implement sustainability, energy efficiency, public involvement and environmental responsibility policies and initiatives
* Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards, including whole life costing, value engineering, material specification and supply chain management to deliver value for money
* Establish systems and processes to regularly audit and review the effectiveness of policies and procedures designed to ensure regulatory compliance
* Contribute to the commercial growth of the business by developing cutting edge solutions to business challenges and opportunities in your area of professional expertise

Skills and Experience



* Educated to degree level in Construction/Building Services
* Full member of RICS or CIOB and evidence of Continuous Professional Development
* Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams working on Housing and Non Housing projects
* Proven track record of researching and assimilating property, demographic and environmental data to develop the credible management of different asset classes
* Experience of managing the performance of teams, setting targets and meeting performance and service standards
