Are you looking for a Building Regulations Manager position? How does working for a Tier 1 Developer in the City of London sound?

My client, one of the largest developers in London, is looking for a Building Regulation Manager to join their team. This company is well known for their products around London and are looking to expand even further. The relevant candidate will have

* Experience working as an architect, fire engineer or worked for a building control body
* The relevant qualification (degree or higher)
* Excellent communication skills

As part of your role, your responsilities will include the following:


* Engage with fire consultants to obtain fee proposals to provide a fire strategy and CFD modelling if required
* Review fire consultant mark-ups, fire strategy & CFD modelling to ensure the design meets Part B of the Building Regulations, monitor submission to local building control and fire brigade
* Review any design risks with the fire consultant and understand their mitigation to ensure it is adequate and meets NHBC/the company's expectations
* Obtain and review fee proposals for fire safety systems (e.g. smoke control, fire stopping, fire alarm and suppression)
* Review construction teams implementation of the fire strategy
* Review standard details of passive fire protection (fire stopping, cavity barriers etc).
* Meet local fire brigade on remedial projects

Building Regulations:

* Chair monthly NHBC meetings, set agenda and produce minutes/action list
* Attend Home Builders Federation technical meetings
* Advise Technical Director/Team of building regulations update and implications on projects
* Monitor Consultant and Technical team progress with NHBC sign off
* Carry out regular site visits, on key dates, to ensure works are being carried out correctly
* Maintain good working relationship with NHBC
* Support handover of the blocks to management agent to ensure they have correct information regarding fire safety systems and understand the building/s
* Help manage historic remedial projects
