Our client are looking for an enthusiastic Project Manager/Business Development Manager to join their growing business, playing an instrumental role in growing their sales with the aspiration to step into a Commercial Management position. We are working with an engineering manufacturer based in Kent. This business has more than doubled in the last 5 years, making them one of the fastest growing manufacturing companies in the Southeast.

Business Development Manager - The Role:

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for seeking and building high level relationships through driving sales in design and sub-contract metal fabrication in Commercial and Industrial end markets. Your primary focus will be split between nurturing existing relationships, identifying opportunities to grow performance and over time developing your own customer base

You will have a tenacious can-do' attitude, growing performance with clients by analysing performance metrics to identify and deliver on opportunities.

Core skills and background include:

• Consultative sales and negotiation skills experience, high integrity hunter adept at all phases of the selling cycle from understanding requirements, quote preparation, negotiation to receipt or order and follow up ongoing relationships
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Independent self-starter to thrive in a new position
• Experience in quoting and pricing manufactured goods
• Experience using a CRM software package would be a plus
• A background in mechanical engineering would be beneficial
