BUYER NEEDED IN MID KENT

We are looking for a Buyer experienced with residential material buying. Are you a Buyer looking for a new contract in Kent? We have a new freelance Buyer vacancy with a great company available.



* Job title: Buyer
* Location: Mid-Kent
* Start date: October 2018
* Duration: 3 months +
* Day rate: £200 - £220 per day (dependent upon experience)

The company:

A residential developer operating across the UK that builds everything from apartments and starter homes through to five and six bedroom family houses. Offering smaller schemes of around 100 dwellings up to urban extensions with thousands of homes and supporting infrastructure. They also work with local authorities to provide high quality, affordable housing.

The role:

Due to a large increase in contracts awarded across the Southern Home Counties the need has arisen to recruit for a freelance materials Buyer to support the procurement team.

The role will be fast paced and time sensitive, reflective of the Construction Industry's project nature.

Day to day you will operate with minimal supervision and perform a range of duties:



* Preparation of request for proposal and quotations
* Evaluation of supplier responses
* Commercial supplier checks
* Negotiations
* Liaise with sites to assist with the resolution of supply issues

About you:



* Previous experience of procurement processes ideally within a construction environment.
* Demonstrate a proven track record in negotiation and process compliance.
* Previous experience working as a Buyer for a residential developer is desirable but not essential.
* Hard working and keen to impress.
* Access to your own vehicle would be beneficial due to the location of the office.
* Right to work in the UK and documentation to back this.
* Driven and able to work to deadlines.
