If you have experience in supporting people with Autism on a professional or personal basis and are looking to work in a specialised purpose built service that delivers the very highest standards of person centred support then I have the position for you. You will be employed and supported by one of the largest and most respected care providers within the United Kingdom and belong to a specialised team.

Your role? To develop an understanding and therapeutic relationship with the service users in your care and to encourage them to live as fulfilled and independent lives as possible. The pay rate will be between £7.83 and £10.50 per hour depending on numerous factors.

We are looking for support workers in Manchester to join an already fantastic team that promotes independence to adults with learning disabilities, and you could be a part of this! Not only will you be working with some experienced Support Workers that are helpful and happy to pass on their knowledge, but you will be making a real difference to someone's life and there is nothing more rewarding than that. The company are well established and was set up in 1990 and now have over 5000 support workers working across 58 services. The role will be based in residential supported living homes, supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities of the role:



* Engaging service users in activities both within and outside of the home
* Monitoring the health and well being of all service users within the home
* Play a key role in the development of a person centred plan for your key individual

Requirements to be considered for this role:



* NVQ level 2 Health and Social Care - preferable but not essential
* Experience in challenging behaviour
* Ability to show initiative, be willing to work flexibly and to keep an open mind
* A passion to help vulnerable children
* A compassionate nature
