Chemistry Teacher
Chelmsford Area

Are you a versatile and knowledgeable Chemistry teacher, able to teach across the Key Stages, including A Level? Would you like to work at a school where the staff have been described as 'a team working for the pupils, with a sense of purpose and high expectations'?

The School:

*Larger than average mixed secondary school in Chelmsford area
*Strong leadership and direction
*Well-founded plans in place for making improvements in student attainment and progress
*Senior leaders offer an appropriate balance of support and challenge
*Headteacher and governing body are well informed and have high expectations for all pupils


*Consistently deliver good and outstanding teaching in an effort to improve student achievement
*Be able to offer students opportunities to work independently and reach goals on their own merits but with your support
*Identify students who require extra help, and give them effective direction in order to close gaps in attainment between different groups


*Strong subject knowledge of Geography, with ability to teach across the Key Stages. A Level experience would be hugely beneficial
*Good behaviour management skills and the ability to keep pupils engaged and on task
*Be able to keep a calm head under pressure and maintain a sense of humour

This is a permanent position to start in September 2018, but there is the opportunity to start sooner if the successful candidate can be available before this. The position would suit an NQT or main scale/upper pay scale teacher, there would also be TLRs available for the right candidate where required.
