job description

Are you a passionate Team Manager?

If you enjoy supporting vulnerable children in overcoming challenges to reach their full potential, don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity! As well as working with a top local authority in the area, we are able to offer an attractive annual rate of £42,806 - £44697.

In addition to your salary, management is offering Team Managers:

- A welcome payment of £5,000

- A relocation Package of £8,000

- Retention payments of £2,000

- Flexible working opportunities

- Free Parking

As a Safeguarding Team Manager, you will be accountable for a team of social workers supporting children and young people on the front line who are in need, on child protection plans and in care. Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing the effective planning of interventions, including legal pathways and permanency planning.

To undertake this role, you will need:

- Commitment and enthusiasm to add value to our Children's Service

- Front line experience as a qualified and registered social worker

- Leadership experience, including mentoring/coaching to support a team of social workers

- The ability to support colleagues in fostering a learning culture

- Resilience, to manage situations of a challenging nature

The Gloucestershire staff work hard to keep children and families at the centre of the service, ensuring adequate time is taken to get to know each individual and provide the best intervention. To drive improvement, a significant amount of time and money has been invested recently. This has allowed the service to implement the following:

- More social work posts, resulting in manageable caseloads

- Smaller teams, allowing increased management support and oversight

- Better office environments with particular improvements in ICT and mobile working

- A focus on direct work and visits to see children

- A supportive and approachable management team with 1:1 monthly reflective supervision

If you're looking for local employment with a competitive salary then this could be the ideal role for you!
To avoid missing out on such a brilliant opportunity, apply by calling 02920877510 and asking for Keri Evans.

This role is open to receiving applications over the next 2 weeks. Appropriate applicants will be invited to register with Randstad Care and attend an interview with the current client.

Randstad Care acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client. Randstad Care is an equal opportunities employer and decisions are made on merits alone.

Did you know that Randstad Care have been awarded a place on the National Clinical Staffing Framework for the NHS? This means we will be able to bring you more opportunities within nursing & midwifery and clinical staffing.
