A Public Sector Organisation are looking for an experienced Commissioning Specialist to join their team for a minimum term of up until April 2019.

Your Package

* £16 - £22 p/h
* Full Time Hours - Monday to Friday

Your Responsibilities

* To manage an agreed range of contracts in relation to the provision of children's services - from needs analysis, planning, design, market stimulation, procurement through to implementation and review.
* Commissioned Services in relation to services for children respond to the needs of children and the characteristics of the local population, are safe, effective, of good quality and offer value for money
* Contracts are robustly monitored to assess their safety, quality and measure their effectiveness
* The Commissioned Services are legally compliant and reflect best practice
* Seek and receive assurance from providers of contracted services in relation to performance against deliverables and outcomes to ensure that they are operating within allocated costs and in accordance with financial instructions.
* Monitor contract key performance indicators, outcomes and quality measures to ensure compliance with specification requirements and to secure the contribution of the service to improving the safety, wellbeing and achievements of children
* Provide information and advice to Together for Children officers, elected members and other stakeholders in relation to children's commissioned services
