A new opportunity has arisen for a mental health nurse to join a rapid intervention community mental health team for working age adults (18-65) based in Flyde Coast, West Lancashire. If you feel its time to develop your career and are passionate for the care of others this could be a great experience for you.

Working as a mental health nurse for this team would involve taking on a case-load and providing appropriate care for the adults who are experiencing difficulties in their mental health with a mix between psychosis and non psychosis, as this is a rapid intervention team you may also experience those in a state of crisis.

To be successful in this role you must display excellent skills in communication and use your knowledge to provide high quality care to the service users who will rely on your help.

Day to day tasks in this role would include: supporting services, providing risk assessments, creating care plans and making referrals. If you feel your attributes would be suitable for this role please read more information below.

The role as a mental health nurse is to begin work as soon as possible and is due to run until April 2019 with the possibility of extension. The role is full time and working hours per week are 30-37.5 Monday-Friday.

As a community psychiatric nurse working for this client your duties will include:

Working along side other services to help patients including, social workers, OT's and consultant psychiatrists
*Spending time with regular patients who require their medication to be administered within the clinic
*Carrying a caseload and helping with care plans for patients
*Managing psychoeducation with patients
*Supporting patients to work towards living independently within the community
*Providing high quality care to help prevent patient hospital admissions



The minimum requirements for this role are:

- NMC registered

- Registered Mental Health Nurse
