Community Safety Team Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Safety Team Manager based in a Local Authority in North East London.

Post: Community Safety Team Manager

Rate: Circa £31.00 - £32.50 per hour

Temporary 6 month ongoing contract.

We are looking for an experienced Community Safety Team Manager to manage a range of functions and people in the community safety team in order that business processes are intelligence-led and that key community safety programmes are delivered in accordance with governance requirements.

The main duties of the role are as followings;

* Leading, managing and controlling programme delivery ensuring effective coordination of the constituent projects, and any interdependencies between them.
* Leading stakeholder management processes in specific areas (including with hard-to-reach parts of the community as well as the statutory sector), actively building and maintaining a network of colleagues and contacts.
* To establish and manage a Programme Office function ensuring: effective tracking and reporting of performance and progress; comprehensive information management; accurate financial accounting; responsive risk and issue tracking; quality control and change control; programme evaluation and lessons learned.
* To ensure that an effective operational link is maintained between the community safety team and ASB and enforcement colleagues within the Council.


* Experience of working in Social Housing.
* Knowledge of legislation, strategy and policy in relation to impacts upon reducing crime.
* The ability to translate and understand legislation and give guidance and develop policy recommendations in a coherent and accessible manner.
* The ability to apply criminological theory to a problem solving model and develop evidence based solutions to crime
