Do you have experience working with children? Would you like to work between 1 day and 5 days per week in local secondary schools? (Great opportunity to work around other commitments and to suit your work life balance).

Would time in the classroom be the catalyst you need to move your career to the next level? If so then contacting me is the way forward!

I work very closely with a number of great schools in the Manchester area and are always looking for Classroom Supervisors to cover absences. The schools vary in terms of demographic and Ofsted rated schools.

I am looking for Cover Supervisors to work on a casual, ad hoc basis, covering lessons and year groups as and when teachers are absent. Cover Supervisors deliver pre-set work, which absent teachers have set in order to ensure that students in their classes will continue to learn and be productive throughout the school day.

Benefits of working for Randstad include:

* Dedicated consultant with enthusiastic and encouraging approach working for one of the largest global staffing providers.
* Working and support team of specialist teachers.
* A 24h on call facility.
* Competitive rates of pay.
* A refer a friend scheme of £300.
* CPD opportunity.
* Holiday pay.
* Continuous support though out your whole journey to work.

Requirements for the role:

* A degree or equivalent.
* 6 months experience working with children and/or adults in the last two years.
* Experience working with both small and large groups of children.
* Be available at least 3 days a week.
* The ability to drive would be an advantage although not essential.

Successful candidates will need to be able to show:

* Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to keep pupils on task and ensuring a constructive working environment.
* The ability to explain, supervise and respond to any questions from pupils about work that has been set, regardless of subject.
* To be able to think on their feet, be flexible and improvise should arrangements within the classroom change at short notice, i.e. room changes, no cover work set etc.
* To be aware of how systems, policies and procedures vary from school to school and to work inside the guidelines, for sanctions, behaviour, delivery of work etc.
* A strong sense of teamwork, and have the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, teachers and support staff around the school to ensure the smooth running of the school day.

If you are interested please apply online today! Or call Ryan in our national resourcing centre on 0161 200 1930.

You will need to satisfy eligibility to work criteria, referencing details and have a DBS (we can help you to obtain) that is registered on the update service.
