Are you a CRE looking for your next challenge in the Bristol area?

Our Client a leading Rail contractor is looking for a track and drainage CRE within the bristol area,

Track and drainage CRE Role:

The CRE is the person within the construction organisation contracted to Network Rail with Accountability for the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the technical and engineering activities within a specific engineering discipline.

Our Client's CRE will lead Two Subcontract CRE's to ensure they produce the requisite track and drainage Safety assurance paperwork, have appointed competent Staff, have provided handback information safely, on time and to the requisite level of quality. They will also be responsible for the information for EIS which will be ultimately issued to the client.

Technical Capability

Deliver the Role of CRE as per NR/L2/INI/02009 and NR/L2/INI/02009 mod 1



* Ensure that Sub-contractors provide Competent Certificated Track Handback engineers.
* Ensure that Sub-contractors Manage the CRT process properly.
* Ensure that Track Quality is monitored during the defect liability period.
* Ensure that Stressing is carried out properly and properly documented / certificated.
* Ensure returns are received from all Tamping operations prior to, during and following the blockade.
* Work alongside the Quality team to ensure a EIS master file and H&S information is produced.
* Review Track ITP (Inspection and test plans) and ensures results are kept on file.
* Ensure the Gauging list is managed and the constituent elements covered by one of, or both of the Contractors.
* Reviews and responds to all Track and Drainage TQ's on behalf of the PC.

Design Implementation (Temporary & Permanent)



* Reviews WPP's associated with Civil and Track engineering activities on the project wherever there is a track interface, ensuring all risks and hazards are identified and mitigated through the process.
* Attends design review meetings/constructability reviews with design consultants when the TWC/DM is unavailable.

As-Builts (Permanent Works)



* Works alongside the supply chain contractors to manage the Ellipse (Formally Geogis) returns into the Central Database.
* Assists the construction team with the production of redline drawings/PHR taking cognizance of the As-Built Deliverable program. This includes ensuring works are completed on time, as well as reviewing the quality of the works produced by the construction team and contractors.
* Liaises with the QM and supply chain CRE's throughout the redlining process to ensure all TQs, NCRs, and survey models are recorded on the documentation.
* Provides a redline information pack to the QM/DM for final review/verification prior to reporting back to the design consultant.
* Manages the As-Built information, and reports to the QM/DM on progress against the As-Built Deliverable program.
* Reviews/marks-up minor revision drawings during the review period, and obtains confirmation from the CRE that they are happy with the content of the amended drawings prior to requesting major revision drawings from the design consultant.

Project Management



* Delivers work beyond customer expectation.
* Supports the civils team providing Construction management and buildability advice.
* Anticipates problems and proactively resolves them.
* Manages their own time effectively to maximize productivity.
