Are you seeking a Customer Service Opportunity where no two days are the same? A position that offers excellent training and the chance to gain great experience within banking?

A new exciting opportunity has arisen for an Customer Service Advisor to work for one of the UK's leading Life insurance & Financial services company in their busy office in Reading working within the Bonds & Pensions / Bereavement team. Our client is looking for a motivated and professional individual who strives to complete tasks at the highest possible standard using excellent attention to detail.

The Role:

As a Customer Service Advisor you will be carrying out a range of assigned specialist clerical / technical support duties in accordance with predetermined procedures and service standards under appropriate guidance and direction and dealing with all customer queries in alignment with companies core values.

Key Responsibilities:



* This role is on our dedicated team providing service to customers upon notification of a death from advising requirements, verifying and updating records and then ultimately paying the death claim.
* The role involves speaking to bereaved family members on the phone, liaising with solicitors and executors and letter writing as appropriate.
* You will need to take responsibility for the work allocated to deliver high quality of service for our customers within the timescales set.
* As some work is dealt with offshore you will need to establish & maintain strong working relationships with off-shore colleagues to ensure service levels are met though working as one team.
* Accreditation will need to be gained in the relevant procedures which will need to be followed at all times.
* You'll need to develop the skills and behaviours targeted in the Personal Development Plan in order to support improved performance going forward.
* Each team member will develop and maintain a good knowledge of relevant systems- etc
* There will be opportunity to contribute to projects as required.
* You'll also need to protect our customers, business employees and shareholders by consistently demonstrating competence to meet the key performance indicators for this role (e.g. Data Protection, Money Laundering) and regulatory measures (e.g. Fraud, Data security, compliance, TCF)

Key Skills:



* Previous customer service experience or experience working within an office environment
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong computer skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Organises own work to achieve accuracy and completeness in a timely manner.
* Approachable and responds appropriately to business needs.

Initially on a 6 Month Contract working on a rotational shift pattern between 8 - 6 Monday - Friday (potential for weekend work) this role is paying £10.07 per hour.
