An immediate opportunity has arisen for a Data Analyst to join our client, a leading Investment Management house, based in London. In this role you will be working closely with Business and Technology teams to understand the impact of the fund data changes on internal and external data and interfaces, and then to either to oversee or implement data changes where appropriate.

Key responsibilities of the Data Analyst will include:

*Work with the Product and Client Service teams, who own and manage the static data changes required for Product Master Data, to understand the impacts of fund data changes and associated timelines.
*Update and maintain the static data on the reference data systems to incorporate data from the Product, Client Service and other Business Teams across the organisations.
*Work with the Technology Team to identify and document the various data/mapping tables and interfaces that would be impacted by the fund data changes across the internal data systems and tertiary systems such as Salesforce.
*Draw up the scripts required to update agreed tables and interfaces where applicable, ensuring that these are tested and signed off in advance of implementation.
*Work with the Business Teams to identify and document the impacts of the fund data changes on manually maintained business critical spreadsheets, such as those used to upload product reference data to third party data distributors.
*Support Business Teams in managing the tranches of fund data changes on the manually maintained business critical spreadsheets in accordance with agreed timelines. Where applicable, working with Third Party teams to test changes and ensure the correctness of fund data changes downstream.

The ideal Data Analyst will possess the following attributes/skills:

*Comprehensive knowledge of Asset Management and the day to day activities and departmental interactions involved.
*Strong SQL capabilities, with experience in interrogating multiple tables to understand impacts of data usage across systems.
*Experience in co-ordinating Fund Static Data changes across systems, including changes resultant from new fund launches, fund splits, fund closures and fund renaming activities.
*Extensive experience in data management and control functions, specifically agreeing and documenting data requirements.
*An understanding of an outsourced service models.
*A good understanding and demonstrable experience of Structured Business Analysis disciplines would be beneficial.
