Delivery Manager

Location: Exeter

Responsibilities:



* Responsible for programme planning, prioritisation and management.
* Allocation of Project Manager(s) to specific programmes/packages/projects.
* Setting, agreeing and briefing teams on programme targets and strategy.
* Assessing skills and competencies required to manage teams and resources effectively.
* Managing individual workloads, performance and development needs.
* Participate in setting and agreeing strategy.
* Responsible for influencing change across the Department and the wider business via SMG.
* Leading agreed strategic initiatives within Engineering and the Senior Management Group.
* To ensure the achievement of the Departments KPI's and Objectives.
* Ensure that H5O's Delivery Strategy is implemented in order to secure best value project delivery.
* Ensure that those within the delivery team organisational structure are aware of their responsibilities and regularly hold them to account for their time, cost and quality performance.
* Ensure the accuracy of reporting that is fed back to the Programme Performance Team .
* Contribute to the effective functioning of the Alliance Management Team, challenging colleagues when appropriate and working at a Strategic Level, continually checking H5O direction in accordance with Strategic Plans.
* Maintain contact with internal (Strategic Client, Operations, Estates, Partners, etc) and external stakeholders as appropriate.
* Lead, direct and inspire the team so that and individual and team effectiveness is maximised.

Requirements:



* Relevant degree in Engineering or equivalent
* Professional status either in Engineering or project management.

* Well organised, diplomatic, proactive, assertive and well-disciplined
* Excellent customer service, communication and client/external interface skills
* Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
* A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
