Are you an experienced Depots Manager? Are you looking to take on a new challenge with a leading LPG Supplier? If so we are looking for individuals just like you!

We have an opportunity for a Depots Manager to join a leading client of ours on a permanent basis.

You will be ensuring the safe and efficient operation of this busy engineering and cylinder distribution site, whilst maintaining and improving health and safety standards associated with the site.

You will also work closely with the general manager to improve efficiently of this busy site and in the manager's absence take charge of the day to day running.

Responsibilities include:



* Managing safety in accordance with the Safety Management Systems to meet compliance and the aim to proactively drive a positive safety culture at site
* Managing compliance of company processes and procedures relating to sales, stocks and financial controls
* Maintenance of safety critical equipment in accordance with operating procedures and works Instructions
* Drive positive customer service standards from the site
* Assist in the effective managing of the site in accordance with business and legislative requirements.
* Compliance of company processes and procedures relating to sales, stocks, financial controls within the operating system (CODAS)
* Complying to operating procedures and works instructions
* Experience of working with customers, in providing great service and resolving customer issues
* Assist with the managing of employees on site to drive effective team working
* Maintenance of safety critical equipment in accordance with PSPI's.
* Assist in all aspects of managing employees on site including selection, recruitment, training, performance management and appraisals etc

Competencies:



* Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health & Safety
* Have knowledge of working to Health & Safety and employment law
* Have experience of working with customers, in providing great service and resolving customer issues
* Display proven experience of working with Business Management Systems
* Have proven experience of effective process management and financial controls procedures
* Be computer literate, including competence in Outlook, Word & Excel
* Possess ability to demonstrate numeracy and literacy skills and effective communication with customers and colleagues at all levels
* Be professional and conducts themselves with integrity and honesty at all times
* Be prepared to work flexibly to accommodate seasonal influences
* A full driving licence
* Keep site stocks in line with customer demands
* Oversee and manage the engineering team and site based staff to enable the smooth running of jobs
* Have an eye for details and well organised

Experience, qualifications and skills:



* Good understanding of architectural /engineering drawings would be desirable
* Ability to prepare tenders and quotations
* Understanding of stock items/parts used
* Self-motivating, with excellent management skills
* Knowledge of current health & Safety laws, demonstrating a personal commitment to health & safety
* Proven experience of Safety Management Systems and controls procedures
* Computer literate, including competence in Outlook, Word & Excel
* Ability to demonstrate numeracy and literacy skills
* Track record of delivering optimum customer service excellence
* Professional and conducts themselves with integrity and honesty at all times
* Any Knowledge in Mechanical or Plumbing discipline would be desirable
* Any Knowledge of LPG installations, Domestic and Commercial would be desirable
