The Durability Engineer will be required to conduct whole vehicle testing of future products. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role and to work for an industry leader!

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

* Conduct whole vehicle durability & testing projects based both within & outside of the UK.Support prototype build and test vehicle preparation in the Test & Verification workshop.
* Plan & cost future test projects as required.
* Update test vehicle logs and concerns system with issues found during vehicle testing.
* Analyse test results & write test reports to support vehicle sign off.
* Develop and manage Durability Attribute & whole vehicle testing DVP's.
* Support PAT / PMT / PMST / Gateway meetings as required for Vehicle Attribute Engineering.
* Maintain & develop vehicle test procedures as required.

The post holder will undertake other duties as may be required to achieve the Company's objectives, commensurate with the grading of the post.

Qualification & Experience:

* Engineering or Science Degree in appropriate discipline is preferred.
* Experience within an automotive or automotive components supplier group.
* Experience of general vehicle testing / development & data analysis is essential.
* Electric Vehicle & SUV specific development knowledge is desirable.
* Experience of testing at various European proving grounds & venues
* Some performance vehicle limit handling experience.
* Good understanding of the practices of vehicle build / preparation / instrumentation / data logging and general product testing.
* Knowledge of vehicle design & development process (industry equivalents, ie: GPDS , FPDS).
* Strong time management, accuracy, diligence, ability to balance and prioritise multiple tasks to meet customer needs. Team player with 'can-do' attitude. Ability to communicate and present results / data at all levels. Competent in Microsoft Office toolset.
