Engineering and Asset Manager - London - Large FM Provider - 55K

One of the leading facilities service providers are currently looking to recruit an experienced Engineering and Asset Manager to work on one of their major maintenance contracts based in Central London.

The role will be working as part of the busy maintenance team focusing particularly on the hard services and asset management across a large number of commercial properties based in Central London.

The role will be to manage and continuously improve the asset management system to support the safe, efficient and effective delivery of the asset management objectives and contract requirements.

The Engineering and Asset Manager will be expected to liaise with the Hard Services Manager, client, key stakeholders and provide expert asset management advice and also be responsible for creating an environment of a culture of asset management.

The main duties of the role are as follows:



* Deliver all asset management processes and associated procedures.
* Develop and implement resilient processes, procedures and documents to simplify work flow and ensure these processes are recorded and followed.
* Prepare documentation on the approach to asset management practices and procedures, including training documents and programs to ensure that staff can operate the asset management systems effectively.
* Coordinate data collection and ensure it is recorded and processed.
* Be responsible for all asset management data relative to the service delivery.
* Collate and analysis asset management related data.
* Analysis data and create meaningful outputs to improve asset management system performance.
* Monitor and report on facility / asset operating and maintenance expenditure.
* Create recommendations and business cases to improve the asset management system; processes, standards, people, data requirements, and specific projects, resources etc.
* Assist in budget development for maintenance, operation, and replacement / rehabilitation for the assets.
* Organise and chair asset management meetings.
* Coordinate and liaise with internal and external Asset Management colleagues.
* Report on the progress of implementation of new management systems.
* Review, optimize and refine asset management practices and policies to ensure the most efficient and effective methods are used.

Applicants must be able to meet the following criteria:



* Fully electrically of mechanically qualified to a recognised standard.
* Previous experience of Asset Management.
* Experience within customer facing environments and resolving problems professionally.
* Have established asset data needs and reporting requirements.
* Working knowledge of Maximo or other best of breed CMMS.
* Working knowledge of Asset Management Systems in a FM/Commercial/Industrial/Process environment.
* Understand the total life cycle approach to Asset Management, and the benefits that can accrue to organizations through the application of these concepts and principles.
* Understand Asset Management processes, and the way in which an asset management improvement program will bring about changes.
* Be familiar with statutory by laws, other legislative requirements and current trends in asset management.
* Working knowledge of MS Office to enable delivery of role requirements.
* Building services or asset management related qualification or relevant demonstrable experience.
* Understanding of M&E systems and terminology
