The Company

As a main contractor, they have projects across the country, and have an annual turnover of £50 million. They currently have multiple projects throughout Kent / Sussex with one of their live jobs being in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. As they are a well recognised company, they consistently deliver quality projects and therefore have a requirement to grow and hire an Estimator who can add value to their team. With extensive knowledge of the construction industry, they are continuously working with clients and professional teams to ensure they receive the best value for money.

The Role

As an Estimator, you will be based in Head Office in central Kent and be responsible for supporting the commercial input - reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager. You will be responsible for delivering high level estimating services in order to maximise their services, to generate new business opportunities in line with the Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities

* Estimate the costs of projects in order to meet the client's requirements
* Determine contractual, financial, technical and operational risks
* Focus on minimising risks and maximising gross profits
* Responding to tenders & pricing work
* Bid management
* Pricing and organising materials
* Feasibility studies

About you

* Previous Estimator experience working for a main contractor
* Proven experience within the retail sector
* Educated to Degree level, or equivalent
* Strong time management and organisation skills
* Able to present information in a logical manner
* Experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Confident working closely with Pre-Construction Managers
