Field Service Support Engineer required on a contract basis to join an industry leading construction vehicle manufacturing business.

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity at the forefront of off highway machine technology? Do you have a background in supporting the maintenance and through life support of off highway / plant equipment? Have you got experience of working in a fast paced Field / Engineering environment? As the Field Service Support Engineer you will provide technical service repairs for all Coventry built Construction products sold within the UK

Key responsibilities:

* Attend and repair technical faults/breakdowns on Coventry produced equipment (listed below) across the UK
* Backhoe Loader
* Dumper,
* TV Roller
* Light Equip (Pedestrian Roller & Trailer)
* Generate a technical report to Coventry helpdesk detailing the fault(s) found & repair method utilised to ensure in-field issues are clearly understood by providing all necessary information on those issues
* Work in supporting role on Coventry Helpdesk when field based workload allows
* This would entail such duties as -
* Providing technical support to Aftermarket TM's, dealers & customers using phone and email
* Assessing warranty claim details prior to submission on warranty system
* Supporting with machine repairs/re-work within Coventry facility (Service/Proto/Pre-Series Field Follow units for example)
* Provide technical support to Aftermarket team members and dealers over the phone, via email or in person, to enable swift resolution of technical issues
* Identify technical training requirements and where appropriate undertake local training of regional aftermarket team members and dealers in relevant aspects of servicing and repairing equipment
* Promote ideas for product enhancements or feasible cost reductions identified while meeting customers and seeing machines in use

Experience required:

* Full driving license
* GCSE or equivalent pass grades in English and Maths.
* Technical qualification highly desired.
* Working experience in an Aftermarket Field Support role/Aftermarket or Technical Support Role for an OEM producer of construction equipment.
* Good standard of PC skills, specifically MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Ability to prioritise the technical concerns and issues of customers and translate those concerns to the relevant problem owners.
* Ability to plan workload in advance so as to meet demands from role
