We are working on behalf of a forward thinking business that is now looking to secure an experienced Financial Controller to join the senior management team to further drive the business forward. Through continued growth higher demands are being made on the finance team and a need to reflect the increasing sophistication of the wider business.

You will provide a strong and positive contribution to this division of the business through the delivery of robust financial budgetary controls, management of the finance team, accurate reporting and identification of areas to improve the efficiency of the company's processes and profitability.

Key responsibilities of the Financial Controller role will include:
-Accountable for the production of all financial results together with the financial controllers, ensure the accuracy of the monthly balance sheet accounts.
-Management of the year end accounts production timetable in accordance with group requirements, ensuring deadlines are met. Overseeing the production of the statutory accounts.
-Ensure accurate and relevant information is provided to the Commercial Finance team, and others, to support bids/tenders calculations. Interface with the Commercial finance teams, who will run the forecasting and budgeting processes, to ensure an overall consistent financial approach to the business lines.
-Oversees the whole consolidation, reporting and monitoring process.
-Providing specialist accounting, and tax, advice on an ad hoc basis covering a range of projects

The ideal Financial Controller will possess the following attributes/skills:
-Working technical knowledge of reporting standards and excellent management accounting techniques. Applied understanding of accounting and related technical areas such as tax, risk management and treasury.
-Excellent communication skills, with a strong presence to lead a senior management team.
-Experience in leading a team of financial controllers and management accountants. With proven record of statutory and tax accounting.
-Strong system skills
