Brief: An exciting opportunity for a qualified fire risk specialist has opened up at a specialist risk management consultancy. The consultancy have doubled their turnover in the last year and fire risk projects account for a sizeable portion of this increase in profitability. This is an exciting time to join the company, whilst the successful applicant for this role is certain to grow with the company as their success continues.

Job Summary : To provide fire consultancy advice and project manage a number of fire risk management contracts.

* Carry out fire risk assessments
* Provide fire safety advice as required to client base and internally
* Validate and audit fire risk assessments carried out by other consultants including external contractors
* Deliver fire safety training packages as required to client base and internally

Client management over a number of contracts to include but not be limited to

* attending client meetings,
* establishing exact client requirements,
* developing project programme in accordance with client requirements,
* managing customer expectations,
* providing feedback to Head of Fire Risk Management on client relationship, activity levels and any areas of concern

Project management to include but not be limited to

* arranging/organising programme of works for individual contracts
* ensuring allocation of appropriately competent resource to individual contracts
* monitoring performance in accordance with the project brief
* controlling and checking supplier costs
* providing feedback to Head of Fire Risk Management on resource performance

About You:

* Must have fire safety/building surveying/health & safety background
* Good knowledge of Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
* Microsoft Excel (high competency in spreadsheets)
* Degree in Fire Safety, Building Surveying, Health & Safety related subject or equivalent experience

* Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with clients, suppliers and other partners, including Group representatives, other consultants, and contractors.
* A positive working attitude with good communication skills and flexibility in a dynamic role. A high level of energy, a self-starter, confident and stable in manner, and able to prioritise and work on a range of activities within a high-pressure environment.
* Commercial awareness and a flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility accepted.
