Role: Fire System Maintenance Technician

Location: Yorkshire

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000

Call Out: 1 in 4. £100 Standby paid then £70 per call out.

Standard Hours: 8am - 4.30 Monday - Thursday, 8am - 3.30pm on Friday.

Overall Objective:

* Undertake the planned & reactive maintenance of electro-technical fire safety systems to a diverse client base, working in and around, existing occupied properties.
* Undertake various electro-technical fire system planned & reactive maintenance as directed.
* Enter into and wholly participate in the Company out of hours call out rota.

Key Accountabilities:

* Maintain and repair electro-technical fire safety systems as required.
* Maintain and repair fire detection & alarm systems in line with BS5839-1, BS5839-6 and any normative reference documents detailed within the aforementioned standards.
* Maintain and repair emergency lighting systems in line with BS5266 and any normative reference documents detailed within the aforementioned standard.
* Carry out all work in accordance with the company Quality Management System, associated procedures, processes and reporting documentation.
* Work independently as well as part of a team.
* Undertake work to a high standard and without fault or defect.
* Ensure exceptional levels of customer care.
* Produce information, reports and certification to allow effective client communication.

Experience & Qualifications

* Fire Industry Association Unit 1: Fire Detection Design Course
* Fire Industry Association Unit 5: Fire Alarm Maintenance
* VESDA - Air Sampling System Design & Application
* VESDA - Air Sampling System Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance
* Fire Industry Association: ICEL Emergency Lighting
* Fire Industry Association: Electrical Competency Training & Assessment
* Fire Industry Association Unit 7: Fixed Extinguishing Systems & Associated Electrical and Building Interfaces (preferable)
* Previous experience of producing technical reports
