job description

If you are from an FM background, and have experience of managing FM life cycle projects, I want to hear from you. My client is a massive player in the facilities management market, and is looking for an FM Project Manager to join their team in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.

This is not a construction-based role, and the ideal candidate will come from the facilities management industry. You'll be managing multiple minor works projects valued between £5k and £1m, so experience at this level is imperative. This role specifically needs someone with an academic qualification in either building surveying or project management.

Your Benefits

* UK leader in facilities management
* Range of high-profile FM contracts across Scotland
* £42k - £45k salary
* Car or car allowance
* Wider benefits including pension and holidays

Your Responsibilities

In this FM Project Manager role, you will:

* Ensure all life cycle projects are delivered with efficiency, on time and to budget
* Manage a high volume of minor works projects (electrical, mechanical and fabric), rather than large-scale, high-value projects
* Liaise with all relevant parties involved in the project, including clients, sub-contractors, and the internal FM team
* Communicate directly with the client at board-level
* Hold financial responsibility for all minor works completed
* Process all relevant documentation
* Produce relevant plan of works for each project, incorporating in-house and sub-contracted services
* Work with senior client stakeholders to identify and deliver long-term asset replacement schemes
* Carry out project review meetings with all stakeholders
* Ensure that the agreed profit percentage is made on all projects.

Your Skills and Qualifications

* You must be qualified to HND or degree-level in either building surveying or project management
* Demonstrable experience of managing a varied range of life cycle projects
* Thorough knowledge of project management principles
* Experience of high-level broad project management, not simply site or contract management
* Strong experience of working with blue-chip clients at board level
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* The ability to manage multiple stakeholders, internally and externally.

Next Steps

If this sounds like the role for you, please submit your CV by following the link on this page, or give Matt a call on 07774 014 731.
