job description

We're recruiting for a one of the top contractors in the Geotech World! Covering the Midlands and South you'll head up the technical sales team developing sales in the ground improvement business.

Main Duties:



* Manage the Area GI sales in association with the GI team. Maintaining good liaison between other area disciplines and departments, providing support and back up if required, acting immediately on any issues for the benefit of the business and company as a whole. Overall work together as a team to ensure on-going business growth and coherent approach to customer relationships.


* Prepare technical proposals and tenders, Ensure profit growth through effective tendering and management of the work, while monitoring risk in line with set procedures.


* Implement and manage an effective departmental business sales strategy for the Midlands GI business to meet targets and budgets.


* Liaise with all departments to select enquiries representing best fit to increase chances of winning profitable work.


* Utilise proprietary database / project notification systems, and relevant publications to generate suitable enquiries. Following up and presenting estimates and carrying out customer care and technical support activity


* Maintain reporting and measurement systems utilising information in a pro-active manner to provide a written factual monthly sales report and accurate forecasts.


* Monitor and review financial performance of projects in conjunction with the Commercial Manager and Contracts Managers


* Where required, provide technical input into problem contracts/sites.


* Produce regular C.V.R's.


* Ensure where required, Invoices / Applications on prepared accurately and in a timely manner a monthly basis.


* Attend and were capable conduct CPD talks as required.

* Where applicable manage staff in accordance with company procedures and assist in training and development of staff.


* Work with the marketing department, providing support at group marketing events, seminars and awards ceremonies' (these may be evening events).


* Ensure compliance with all QA, health & safety and other statutory obligations.
