Are you looking for a more stable role with a reputable organisation? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Handy Person based in a Housing Association in North West London.

Post: Handy Person

Rate: Circa £24,000 - £25,000 per annum

We are looking for an experienced Handy Person to undertake void works in accordance with the Housing Association's policies and work practices, delivering a first class service that is value for money and customer focused.

The main duties of the role are as followings;

* Provide a responsive repairs service for day to day repairs, dealing with small, general items of repair and maintenance in the interior and exterior of the building; e.g. putting up shelves, changing light bulbs, moving furniture, cleaning lamp shades, cleaning windows.
* Carry out routine checks, repairs and maintenance of household equipment, and the exterior of the building.
* Ensure the maintenance service is delivered in response to the diverse needs of residents and customers.
* Respond to emergencies i.e. Burst pipes, fire alarms, making property secure, etc.
* Deal with blocked sewers and drains, including unblocking sinks.
* Carry out general maintenance including graffiti removal, building and site repairs, fencing, painting, floor and wall tiling, glazing including Perspex type material, low level rainwater goods repairs, cleaning footpaths, rubbish and recycling bins, etc.


* Previous social housing experience.
* Full English driving license and access to a car.
* Standard DBS preferred.
* Experience of working in a handy person role with similar responsibility.
