Maintenance Operative / Handyperson - Croydon - Permanent

Are you a motivated and driven Handyperson or Maintenance Operative looking for permanent work in Croydon?

Are you looking for secure work for a market leading company with excellent working conditions?

Our leading Facilities Management provider has an exciting opportunity for a proven Maintenance Operative / Handyperson. Working within an on-site Facilities team, you will ensure the site remains fully functional and presentable for use.

* Immediate start available
* Permeant secure work
* Excellent working environment
* Up to £24k depending on experience (annual pay review)
* Full time 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Duties include:

* To provide high level and proactive maintenance support
* To liaise with and provide access to authorised contractors and tradesmen
* To report defects / incidents (either observed or reported) and to take the corrective action
* Replace light bulbs to communal or external areas if required.
* Carry out monthly emergency light system checks
* To maintain accurate records of maintenance / lighting issues.
* To undertake routine maintenance,
* To ensure all tools are maintained and kept securely
* To work in accordance with Health & Safety Policy.
* Routinely check riser cupboards / plant rooms for items left by contractors.
* To carry out other duties as might be reasonable expected or required
* To undertake any other duty as requested by your Line Manager / acting Line Manager.
* To carry out weekly checks and inspections as required.
* Repair and adjust fire and entrance doors.
* Prepare and carry out a planned maintenance programme including painting of the internal communal areas.
* To assist in the process of leak detections of water leaks throughout the development.

Experience Required:

* Proven maintenance experience
* Previous experience of general maintenance and repairs
* Experience of working within a team
* Customer focused and professional
* Driver (may be required to drive site vehicles)
* Experience with fire alarm and lighting systems (routine checks)
* Trades or engineering experience would be an advantage
