Great opportunuty to step into a newly created role that will be responsible for all procurement and commercial management activities to support this major public services project.

The role requires the ability to manage senior stakeholders, from a wide range of organisations and drive SRM across the organisation.

This role would suit a procurement professional with strong commercial management expertise and recent experience working within public services.

Key Skills:

* Leads the development and implementation of procurement policies and system strategies to support tendering, contracts management, spend analytics and supplier performance management.

* Leads the development and implementation of commercial and supplier management policies and strategies to support the effective management of suppliers, drive best value from contracts.

* To lead the development of new supply chains including small/medium enterprises (SMEs) to create greater competition and align the business to category management strategies.

* To ensure compliance with the Department of Health's procurement and commercial management reporting processes, including the production of score cards for all active contracts.

* To ensure all aspects of regulatory compliance are adhered to in regard to the respective Procurement Policies and external requirements such as OJEU procedures and implement strategies that safeguard contractual and commercial risk.

* To lead and motivate staff within the procurement and commercial management team and ensure that they receive appropriate support, training and development to achieve their potential.

* Establishing and managing future demand and capacity planning including the development to supplier risk management.
