job description

Health and Safety advisor for a permanent role based in Portsmouth.

This is a full time, permanent role, working 37 hours per week.

As a senior health & safety advisor, you'll take the lead on all areas of health & safety (H&S), primarily the repairs division. You'll make sure we're always compliant with H&S legislation, company procedures and best practice. Ensuring that we all understand our obligations when it comes to H&S requirements.

You'll build strong relationships with internal & external customers and reassure them that the assessment of construction & maintenance related H&S risks are well managed and controlled.

As a minimum you'll need to have NEBOSH general or construction certificate. It would be very handy for you to have a NEBOSH diploma also, but this isn't essential. You'll bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from a previous similar role. This will help you to hit the ground running with minimal supervision. You'll have a good background in either property maintenance, construction or engineering and have extensive knowledge of CDM regulations. You'll also need a full current driving licence with transport to be able to travel between sites.
