Responsibilities :

To assist with the assessment and preparation of reports on engineering matters relating to development control.

To assist in the examination of planning applications and provide advice on engineering issues concerning proposed development.

To assist with the updating and checking of the highway inventory and adopted street register and plans, including assisting with land searches and enquiries by the public.

To assist with the processing of Stopping Up Orders under The Highways Act 1980.

To assist with the supervision of works carried out under Highway Agreements.

To provide help and advice to individuals and other organisations on development issues.

To assist with the preparation of plans, documents and estimates for budgetary purposes.

To assist in the response to Land Acquisition/Search requests.

To assist with document checking, preparation and other routine office duties.

Requirements:

You must have knowledge of key legislation including Highways act 1980 and Town and Country planning act 1990.

You must have experience in a similar role.

You must have a good standard of education, 5 GCSE C Grade and above or demonstrate competence through experience.

You must have a full driving licence.
