Are you an experienced housing officer with specific expertise in dealing with anti-social behaviour? Do you have the CIH professional qualification? Are you looking for immediate temp work to cover a period of approx 4 months or longer? If you can answer yes to these questions, please read on as this opportunity could offer you immediate work

As a housing officer you will be responsible for providing a customer focused and quality service to tenants within housing management. This will include;
*Signing up new tenancies
*Agreeing Tenancy changes
*Managing all enforcement issues
*Ensuring all instances of anti-social behaviour and nuisance issues are dealt with through to possible court appearance
*Regular liaison with residents, estate management and rent arrears team

Within the role of a housing officer, you will carry out a very varied and rewarding job.
Key responsibilities are;
*Ensuring tenants fulfil their obligations as set out in the Housing Acts, ASB Crime & Policing Act and their tenancy agreement
*Taking a proactive approach with the management of anti-social behaviour, including hate crime, domestic abuse, violence and illegal or immoral activities
*Carrying out risk assessments and manage all complaints of ASB, from initial complaint through to case closure.
*Accurately record all activities and contact, report and statement writing, liaison with the Police and other departments and them possibly court appearance and eviction.
*Ensuring that victims and witnesses are offered and provided with appropriate support and referral to required support teams
*Maintaining a good level of up to date knowledge relating to relevant best practice, law and legislation
*Keeping all management information and records up to date and in line with policies
*Attend meetings with ASB panels and partners
*Conduct interviews and prepare/support with statements and any required paperwork for court proceedings
*Manage and conduct evictions for tenancy breaches in partnership with relevant partners

Required skill and experience;
*Ability to communicate to a high standard in written and oral form
*Experience of producing legal documentation
*Excellent time management and organisation skills
*High level of accuracy in recording and documenting of information
*Ability to build rapport and work well with internal and external partners and tenants
*Minimum of 5 years experience of working within social housing, specifically able to demonstrate working with and managing anti-social behaviour
*You must have a professional diploma in housing and have the CIH professional qualification
*Full driving licence is essential
