Company Overview

A successful Housing Association is looking for an experienced Support Worker to join their team to give advise and support to individuals who have struggled with homelessness. This is a temporary role ongoing until a minimum period of May 2019. An Enhanced DBS in mandatory.

Your Package

* Full Time/ Part Time
* Monday - Friday (may require some Saturday morning work)
* £11 - £14.00 p/h

Your Responsibilities

* Assess and sign up new tenants, take them through the tenancy conditions, rent payment arrangements and any scheme policies and procedures.
* Identify and review support needs throughout
* Manage an individual caseload of clients, helping them move to independent or appropriate supported accommodation
* Ensure all administration is up to date on a daily basis, including handover notes, communications systems and resident's files/support plans.
* Assist in monitoring arrears and handing monies (including the collection of rent and services charge, handing over of petty cash)
* Dealing with vulnerable adults - particularly those who have battled with homelessness

Skills and Experience

* Enhanced DBS
* Local knowledge and networks
* Knowledge and application of Group policies, procedures and best practice Knowledge of relevant legislation
* Record keeping
* Assessing and dealing with conflicting demands
* Arrears and void monitoring
* Property management
