A Biopharma client of ours, currently privately owned, is searching for a new HR Director for this forward-thinking organisation. Reporting to the CEO, the HR Director will support the board in all aspects of the people agenda both in the UK and internationally. There are several key transformation projects over the next 6 months as the organisation moves from discovery to clinical development in a leading edge scientific field. Ideally, you will have recent experience working for an SME sized business and be truly flexible, capable of successfully operating at Board and strategic level, whilst also handling the basic transactional elements of the role... If you have previous experience through an IPO process then so much the better.

It is essential that candidates have worked within the Pharmaceuticals / Life Sciences / BioTech arena, and have strong academic & professional qualifications.

Job Overview:



* HR Strategy - Work with SMT to establish policies for recruiting, developing, and retaining best in class resources to enable organisational success.
* Change Management - Support business re-alignment through a major transformation from discovery through clinical development ensuring smooth communications, cultural change and growth initiatives
* Leadership Development - Enhance organisational effectiveness at all levels by establishing training and coaching programs


* Compensation and Benefits - Benchmark/design competitive structures which align performance and pay and drive desired behaviours
* Recruiting - Manage the recruitment and selection process; work with outside recruiters and search practices as needed to support the hiring process
* Career & Performance Management - Develop and execute a formal and transparent process that enables employees to build and develop their careers
* Infrastructure - Build and maintain tools to support consistent management practices across the company, such as employee policies handbook, file management, legal compliance, HRIS systems
* Culture & Employee Relations -Enhance and develop a high performance/fun culture with strong employee engagement & open communication. Address & resolve employee issues and concerns.
