Are you an experienced In-house Legal Executive that has extensive knowledge in corporate law wanting to work for a leading global company?

Your main focus will be to provide legal support services to our clients General Counsel and Global Customs & Trade Counsel as required, focusing on commercial matters, contracting and Customs & Trade with some administrative duties; day-to-day management of legal document repositories and provide support to the legal team as required.

Responsibilities



* Develop, implement, maintain and improve export compliance policies and procedures and assist in the design and implementation of processes, structures and guidelines for company-wide management of legal matters;
* Review transactions for proper trade compliance and help ensure compliance with trade related laws and regulations
* Contract review (CA standard documents and third party agreements) as required, with support and oversight by in-house counsel
* Preparing non-commercial legal documents under the guidance of internal and external counsel and/or subject matter experts
* Drafting board and shareholder resolutions under the guidance of in-house counsel, legalisation and apostille of documents
* Assist in the creation and liquidation of legal entities
* Keeping up-to-date the organisational chart of the Group companies
* Research and analyse law sources such as cases, statutes, legal articles, regulations and public records;
* Perform due diligence tasks on clients, partners, vendors or other third parties and undertake restricted party screening
* Maintain and update databases of legal templates, regulatory information and contracts, with oversight from in-house counsel teams as well as external counsel
* Documentation and administrative tasks

Experience



* The ideal candidate would have a good knowledge of corporate law and be familiar with dealing with a wide range of corporate transactional work in several jurisdictions in a global company or law firm
* Relevant experience in export control and trade compliance (preferable)
* A self-starter with the ability to lead on projects, prioritise work and remain flexible to changes
* Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
* Able to handle sensitive/confidential information with a high level of discretion
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to work equally well with colleagues face-to-face and globally
* Highly responsive to plans changing at short notice and able to respond effectively and proactively to their different responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and governance best practice
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Skype, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint is preferred
* Degree in Engineering is desirable
