Infrastructure Architect- Private Banking

My client requires an Infrastructure Architect who can focus on both Architecture and design and works across multiple technologies including server, storage, databases and middleware


*Determine business requirement and influence solution towards Infrastructure future state model
*Gauge strategic impact to business function, impacted upstream and downstream services and subsequent technology footprint
*Ensure logical design contributes to asset class technology objectives
*Examine potential demise opportunities and propose deployment options
*Consider service placement requirements
*Ensuring end to end completeness of technical design, including Non-Functional Requirements realised and validated
*Verify impact to adjacent services/systems and Validate deployment and support model
*Qualify technical acceptance of all components
*Review design and gain approval via Solutions Architecture Board
*Finalised commercials and approval

Have a system engineering background and the ability to compare and contrast different solutions to meet a business requirement. Provide technical thought leadership in evaluation of new technologies to meet business requirements and influence key stakeholders leading to adoption. Have in-depth conceptual functional and non-functional knowledge of:

*Networking (Cisco, TCP/UDP, Broadcast/Multicast, LAN/WAN)
*Server Operating systems internals, benchmarking and performance tuning (Linux, Windows, Solaris), CPU Microarchitectures (Intel, AMD, SPARC) & Server Virtulization (VMware, Xen, Hyper-V, KVM)
*Storage (EMC SAN - FC, FCoE, iSCSI, SRDF; NetApp NAS - CIFS, NFS)
*Cloud IaaS (AWS & Google)
*Cloud Integration of SaaS and On Premise (Mulesoft)
*Databases (Oracle & MS SQL; VCS & MSCS)
