We are working closely with a popular primary school in Burnley who are looking for a key stage 2 teacher with QTS to teach a Year 4 class full-time starting after February half term. NQT's with experience of teaching key stage 2 classes will also be considered.

This role is with a popular three-form entry school for children aged 4 to 11 years old, close to East Grinstead. The headteacher is passionate about creating a fun yet professional atmosphere and tries hard to create a good work-life balance. For this reason, your marking policy is reasonable and you will not be expected to run any after-school clubs.

Duties of the role:

* Teaching an energetic and talented Year 4 class 5 days a week, full-time
* Completing all lesson planning and marking children's work daily
* Pupil assessment
* Attending and contributing to parents' evenings
* Being extremely organised and dedicated to driving and achieving pupil development

* Currently 600 mixed pupils on roll
* Part of an Academy Trust
* Latest Ofsted the school was graded 'Good'
* Prepares pupils to be able to go on to make positive contributions and lead happy lives
* Sets high expectations for learning, behaviour and respect
* Led by an inspiring Headteacher
* A vision to combine high moral and social values with good basic skills in English language, Maths, Sciences and the Arts
* A robust behavioural management structure
* Football, netball and rugby teams which take part in local competitions
* On-site teacher parking

Requirements for candidates will include:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), NQT or Overseas Qualified Teachers.
* PGCE or a Degree in Education.
* An up-to-date knowledge of the British National Curriculum.
* Relevant recent teaching experience.
* Own transport could be an advantage but is not essential.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
