My Client, one of the UK's leading Environmental Compliance and Risk Management Consultancies are currently looking to expand on their growing and diverse team in Chester by recruiting a Lab Analyst. This Lab Analyst may also be given the opportunity to expand their skills further in this role with training for a P402 certifcate and others.

Requirements



* All applicants must hold the P401 certificate (Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples)
* Experience with soil work would also be desirable
* Have a proven track record working within the laboratory environment and within the asbestos industry.
* Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal and be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package and in house software used to record our samples and results.
* Candidate must also be flexible, competent, have good attention to detail, manage your own time effectively and have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of the busy team.

The Role



* Analyse and report on the fibre content of samples submitted by our team of Surveyors.
* Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
* Preparing samples for analysis.
* Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.
* Reporting analytical findings.
* Ensuring appropriate storage and retention of samples.
* Generating certificates of analysis and other general laboratory duties.
