Barnet and Southgate College is a highly successful Further Education college with around 16,000 students of all ages from 14 years upwards.

POST TITLE: Learning & Enrichment Assistant - Student Services

POST REFERENCE: LEA-001

SALARY: Scale 5 (£10,253.18)

HOURS: 20 hours per week for 36 weeks per year - 3 posts available


LOCATION: Southgate


Student Services are looking for enthusiastic and qualified members of staff to join a successful & high achieving team.

Student focused, confident and highly organised staff are required with experience of delivering an excellent service to young people in an FE environment.

Working between the hub (student area) and the LRC (Learning Resources Centre), the person must be flexible and understand learner needs.

The day to day tasks will include delivering enrichment activities, supporting the student reps, covering enquiry desks, locating and issuing resources, booking appointments and gathering learner feedback.

Ability to build good rapport with students is essential as well as maintaining an environment conducive to learning.

A L2 qualification or equivalent is essential together with strong IT skills and GCSEs at grades A-C in English & Maths (or equivalent).
